Scope of the Neighbourhood Plan

The scope of the neighbourhood plan

This is a planning document. It is limited to defining the physical form of the parish: housing, land use for recreation, allotment land, car parking, position of shops. It does not define social services such as bus routes, mobile libraries, constitution of local societies.

It does limit the possible uses of space, by allotting areas suitable for particular activities or use, which thus indirectly identifies areas where such activities or use would not be supported. The plan aims to be positive – identifying the best sites for various activities. Thus it reserves space particularly for leisure activities, which at present are poorly provided for.
